Warmer but wet weekend
- Highs in the middle 60s Friday afternoon
- Showers and some storms through Saturday afternoon
- Over 1/2″ of rainfall through Saturday
- Mostly cloudy, very warm Sunday
Friday will be a mild and above normal day with highs in the middle 60s, but the ridge of high pressure will move east late this afternoon and this evening. This will cause clouds to increase as low pressure from the central U.S. will move toward our area. It’s expected to be very wet over the week. Forecast models are projecting heavy rainfall, especially Saturday afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms will also be possible through Sunday. Our forecast models are keeping Sunday dry with highs in the 80s! That will not be the end of the rain with showers expected through Monday with a push of cold air headed our way next week.
