Winter Weather Awareness Week

The National Weather Service “Winter Weather Awareness Week” came to an end Saturday.  This week is dedicated to educating and preparing for the winter season.  For information from the National Weather Service, you can head to their winter weather awareness page.

However, if you feel it’s a bit too early to talk winter weather, the WANE TV weather team will air their 4th weather special on December 11th.  It’s called “15 Fury Alert: A WANE Winter Weather Special”.  This winter weather special will focus on several things.  The main and most important: what kind of winter will we see here in our area?  We sat down with Chief Meteorologist Jonathan Conder and he’ll give you the inside scoop.

Meteorologist Greg Shoup will let you know what factors will play into that forecast.  Meteorologist Nicholas Ferreri takes to the driveway and shows us all some tips and tricks to shoveling snow.  He also shows you the most efficient and easiest ways to get your driveway clean.  I will take you to Pokagon State Park for some tobogganing, and to a driving school to learn how to drive in the winter.

It’s just a short few weeks away!  Don’t forget to watch!
