Chilly shopping weatherNovember 24th, 2012 at 10:52 am by Nicholas Ferreri under Weather
Well, the winter chill is in the air and, with a few snow flurries falling today, a touch of the holiday season will be experienced. Many of you will be out and about continuing your holiday shopping after Black (Thursday &) Friday.
In recent years, the Saturday following Thanksgiving has been referred to as “Small Business Saturday”…a time to focus on the small businesses in your city or town and maybe pick up a special deal or two along the way. Today, in Downtown Fort Wayne, you can support our local businesses by participating in Holly Trolley Shopping. There will be free trolleys running between different shops and downtown attractions. Plus, there are even a few “Pop-Up” markets featuring some local merchants you don’t usually find downtown.
For more info, and to find the location of the trolley stops, visit the official Holly Trolley Shopping page here.
If you head out to this event, bundle up. It’s going to be cold as you hop off the trolley! High temperatures will only be in the mid 30s today.
