Big Turn Around Next 48 Hours

it will be another drastic change as we drop temperatures from the 60′s into the 30′s in one fall swoop. Highs will fall through the 50′s into the 40′s by Tuesday afternoon. Low temperatures will be in the 20′s on Wednesday morning and so highs will only be in the 30s by afternoon, and that will complete our 40 degree turn around.

Cooler temperatures continue

Even though temperatures will rebound into the 40s they will be no where near where we have been over the last several days with near record setting highs in the 50′s and 60′s Highs will be in the 40s for the foreseeable future.

7 day forecast

As you can see from our 7 day forecast temperatures will fall into the 40′s through the weekend. Our average for this time of year is in the lower 40s.

Colder weeks ahead

Our longer term forecast models continue to promote colder temperatures ahead. In fact, the GFS (Global Forecast Model) is showing a large scale cool down early next week. Could this be a sign of things to come.

Colder air begins to set up across the Rockies

The GFS model is showing the cold air pooling across the western U.S. as a large scale weather system moves across the Great Lakes

The longer term pattern may temporarily bring some warmer air next week according to the Climate Prediction Center’s 6 to 10 day outlook.
