Up and down weather pattern

Colder air is moving into the area Monday afternoon

A fast shot of colder air will be moving through the Great Lakes region and bring a quick dose of cold air from the north. This cold air will be followed by move pacific air moving in from the west coast.

Mild pacific air quickly replaces cold air

Another uncharacteristically warm pattern will set up across our area being driven by mild pacific air with several wet and warm weather systems moving across the Pacific west. This warmer and wet pattern will most likely hold through the weekend.

Colder wintery forecast

Early next week arctic air will once again be ‘knifing’ in across most of the Rockies and Plains

By early next week it looks like it could become rather winter like here as a strong system could once again over spread arctic cold air across our region. This pattern will be replaced again by pacific air which will moderate temperatures.

Potential winter storm system?

This colder pattern may also produce a winter storm across portions of the Midwest as a low pressure center will move across the buckled jet stream. This low may be able to feed into some Gulf moisture and produce snow for parts of the Midwest. This is still a developing situation and could change quite a bit over the next several days.

I was wondering if you are seeing any extremely cold weather coming? As in a 30 day forecast…..
