We are currently in a very long stretch of days without seeing temperatures below zero.  The last time we saw temperatures below zero in Fort Wayne was on February 10th, 2011 when the temperature dropped to -13°.  That means we have stayed above zero for 670 days!  For Fort Wayne, that ranks 7th longest all time.

Record Stretch for Fort Wayne and South Bend – Northern IN NWS

For Fort Wayne the longest stretch ever was 1412 days.  This stretch was from February 20th, 1936 to January 2nd, 1940, this is nearly 4 years!  To jump to 6th on the all time list we only have to go 5 more days above zero, and the forecast is looking good for that.
