You may have seen more than the Geminids

Comet Wirtanen may have produced a meteor shower in addition to this week’s Geminid display.

In searching different weather-related articles today, I came upon some info from NASA that I had not known previously.  Thought you skywatchers might find it interesting.

Many of you went out to view the Geminid Meteor Shower earlier this week.  It’s one of the annual meteor showers stargazers enjoy.  However, it seems that some of the meteors that were seen could have come from debris from a separate comet than the one responsible for the Geminids.

Here’s a link to a blog post from NASA about this other potential meteor shower source.  No word yet from them on whether the meteor shower ever did develop this week.
