As we continue to track our precip chances for Monday, the latest data into the weather center show an increased potential for a mixture of freezing rain (from morning into early afternoon), rain and snow.  Since Monday’s precip now includes more of this mix of precip types, snow accumulations will end up being minimal, under a half-inch by the end of the day.

If you’re hitting the roads Christmas Eve, around mid-morning, be aware of this freezing rain potential and drive carefully.  Once temperatures go above freezing in the afternoon, the freezing rain will no longer be occurring, but the rain and snow showers that follow will still create some slick spots out there.
