Are you prepared for a blizzard?

The American Red Cross provides a number of online and mobile resources to help you prepare for emergencies.

After seeing the images of cars being stranded along highways across the Northeast and hearing the story of a young person dying of carbon monoxide poisoning, as a result of a car’s tailpipe being blocked with snow, we should all think about if we truly are prepared for a big winter storm and other types of emergencies.

I’m posting a couple of resources from the American Red Cross here today so you can review the info with your families and be ready in the event of an emergency.

The American Red Cross also has mobile apps available to assist you during emergencies.

The apps are available at no charge and can be accessed on both the iPhone and Android platforms.

We cannot even get a decent winter here. I doubt we will ever see a Blizzard here again.

I just read it and while I am encouraged a little bit for snow I don’t see that being of the blizzard type or even the type of winter storm that would get me all excited. I hope you are right and that we do see a huge snowstorm. I want to go outside and build a snowman and have fun with my kids. I miss the Indiana winters when I was a kid back in the 70′s and early 80′s.
