2012 Atlantic Basin Tropical Cyclones
Now that we are well into 2013, here is a look back at the 2012 Atlantic Basin Tropical Storms. If you take a close look at the map above, you will notice that we never had a major hurricane or a major hurricane make landfall on US soil.
There were 19 named storms in the Atlantic Basin and even though Hurricane Sandy only had winds up to 145 mph, she created the most amount of damage:
