With the arctic air moving in this weekend, look for the lake effect snow machine to fire back up, main Saturday. In the map above, the counties highlighted in light green are in a Lake Effect Snow Advisory and the counties in dark green are under a Lake Effect Snow Warning. So, what does this mean?
Above is the snow forecast for the weekend with most of the WANE viewing area only seeing a dusting to an inch along the Toll Road. If you are heading towards southwestern Michigan, be prepared to run into moderate to heavy lake effect snow.
Our next chance of snow comes both Tuesday morning and Friday morning of next week, but most the precipitation will come as rain not snow. Meaning, we may miss out on heavy snow once again.
