NWS radar upgraded and online!

The upgrade to the National Weather Service radar in Northern Indiana is complete!  The upgrade was supposed to begin on the 18th, but actually started a week early.  Since the main upgrade to the radar was the software, testing is still being done to tweak and perfect it.

Do you remember my previous blog post on the PING Project?  You can find it HERE.  Basically what the NWS needs to know is what kind of precipitation is falling at any given time.  Anyone can participate and it is SO easy!
