If you are a lake person and want some warmer weather to close out the summer, you may not like the outlook for the first two weeks of August.  Above is the temperature outlook for the next 6-10 days and below is the temperature outlook for days 8-14.

So, what do these maps mean?  The area highlighted in blue has a higher chance of below average temperatures, then above average temperatures.   The chance does not correlate to an exact number, but if we expect average high temperatures in the lower 80s and the upper 70s for the beginning of August, expect high temperatures to be lower than that.

Jonathan with the unusual cool summer we are having what is your take on the coming winter? It has been a long time since we have seen a heavy snow season and I was wondering if you see this as a real possibility this coming winter.

Great question and let me look into it. I have very limited climate data available to me though. Also, even though there may be a pattern, I doubt it would be a for sure thing.
