Many of you have heard of and seen a “supermoon” by now. We’ve had a couple this year, and according to astronomers, we’re due for another “supermoon” the night of August 10th. Astronomers are saying this “supermoon” will be particularly super as it’s anticipated to be the closest, brightest, and biggest one yet. Here’s what the last “supermoon” looked like from viewers. Scroll past the pictures for more details on the next “supermoon.”
According to NASA, this full moon will be 14% closer and 30% brighter than other full moons of the year. There are four to six super moons every year, and during those times, the moon is 30,000 miles closer to the Earth than the normal distance.
